Look why don't you save yourself some trouble and just buy some after market lights..
Because you still have to take off the front bumper and the under panneling to get to your headlights. So why not kill two birds with one stone.. It'd be much better than risking damaging your factory lights. You can get a pair of TYC aftermarket lights for around $150-$250. That'd be much easier.. don't you think....
And if you damage your factory headlights, you'll have to buy them from the dealership and that is gonna cost you about the same price.. Come on people. IF you wanna show your ride, then you have to be willing to spend some Cash..... so don't be cheezy and get someone to clear out your lights.. that's a waste of time... why not buy a good pair of TYC lights or another brand and have a nice ride.. don't be ghetto... and clear your lights...

Babygirl there seems to be a misunderstanding here. All he is offering is a service because some of us, like myself, would never even try clearing my headlights by alone. They do look much better cleared, and it's a mod that's costs approximately 0 dollars. Also, you should'nt go around telling people what they should or should'nt do. It's there car, and if they can do whatever the hell they want to to it. Next time, just try and understand what the post is really about.

it seems like you started first, the guy is offering to clear lights, many owners have their reason to clear their head lights, a few of example
a: cost less than 5 bucks and a couple hours of work (vs 200 dolar headlights)
b: many of them like the stock headlights more than aftermarket headlights
c: looks very clean
i am sure he would compensate for the loss if he breaks the light in someway (really hard, since i cleared mine too before i got my tyc)
and i must disagree "better lights", the tyc beam patter is eratic, unlike the constant "multi-environmental" beam of the oem

Look MF's I agree with BabyGirl..I don't give a damn how good you are at doing something nobody is perfect so why risk screwing up your factory lights, and Spider883 as far as lookin better thats your opinion so keep it too yourself...and neocivicracer somebody lie to you...cause TYC has been producing factory aftermarket head and taillights for a few years...so I think they would know how to make an aftermarket light.....and one more thing I have had the factory taillights, the Impros, and the TYCs on mine and by far the best and brightest have been the TYCs and they used the smallest bulb outta the bunch for the low beam an H1.....

thank yu all for trying to show some people the light... but as of april 15 i will be now officially located in houston tx.. i am moving from the sticks to the big town... so all houston area people my services are now available to you..
not much rain, but there sure is a lot of sun. it's in the mid-80's down here during the day now, which isn't too bad 'cause we hit upper 90's or low 100's almost every day over the summer
Sweety, what he was trying to say, is that water is more likely to get in the headlights once they have been cleared like that. It's better to buy an aftermarket light that is already cleared. Since the aftermarket lights are sealed better, this reduces the amount of moisture and water build up within the light. Once you clear your factory lights, when it rains, or when you wash your car, water can seap in where you cleared the light and cause your headlight to blow and be worthless. You had better know what you are doing, that's all i can say.

there's only one problem with buying those headlights... not everyone has mommy and daddy to pay for them and all of our other mods.. also if you know how to clear your lights correctly and use the correct silicone then it will be sealed as well if not better than the factory seals it... so humm get off mommy and daddy's pocket book and keep you opinion to yourself cuz really i wasn't asking for opinions anyways i was offering a service to those who want them cleared....

if you use correct silicon, it will seal better than factory. heck, i had cleared lights for a few monthsand no problems, i also spent 2/3 of a bathroom silicon stick on sealing them
work like a charm
work like a charm Let's just end it this way,,,, when you show your car , you will probably get beat by someone in your own class that has aftermarket lights. In most cases that 's true, depending on how your cleared factories look. In most of the carshows i've been to usually the civic with the aftermarket lights wins in their class. So all that time you spend on clearing your lights is not worth it when you wanna show your car. It's better to spend money on something especially when you've spent so much on a body kit, system, springs, bags, etc. Why go cheap when you can make your car look even sweeter. Basically you are just wigger-rigging them...how lame is that.

Well now I have seen it all! This a some real **** we have got going on here. This is a hobby is which we "customize" our cars! Who cares if you buy something or make something up yourself. It's all about being original! Now I have to say that clearing your own light is being original! I did mine and they look phat as hell! And at one time Jen you wanted me to clear yours! But it's all up to the person who is willing to spend money or a person who is willing to spend a little time in the garage! So if you want spend the 250.00 on projectors that's cool, or spend 7.00 dollars to buy some silicone and clear them yourself. If you don't feel comfortabnle about doing them yourself SPEEDYJB will be happy to do them for you! What the hell is wrong with that?
I think that something you make or do on your own is a hell of alot better than buying it form some aftermarket company if it can be done!If you make it and it looks good, who freaking cares! Customize the way you want to, not the way society tells you!
Damn I have to say, that is pretty well said!
