I have a 2018 civic hatch lx (Canada), and I have had issues playing music with usb sticks. Here is what has been happening. I can be listening to a track and when it finishes instead of going to the next track it will either hang, or stop playing all together. In most cases shutting off the car and restarting will start it up again. I have tried rebooting the system while the car is moving, but this doesn't seem to help. I have tried another usb stick, which works fine with one exception. When the car is shut off then turned back on again, the music starts from the very beginning of the music on the stick. I wonder if the system has an issue with the size of usb/brand or both of the usb stick? Honda dealership hasn't come back with any help on this as of yet. Anyone else had this issue?

Because it’s a USB stick which stores data and not a music player I don’t think it will work how you want but I’m not a computer guy.

Are they cheap no-name ones? Both of my parents use USBs in their cars and they don't have any problems

One is a Duracell usb stick (the one I have problems with), and I am not sure what the other is, but it works better.
The sales guy (yes I know sales guy), said to put the usb stick with music on it, in the center (cup holder) usb port.

Never heard of duracell making usb sticks, I would grab a decent one at staples or walmart or wherever and try again. How are you putting music on it? I copy and paste from iTunes.

I copy from my computer and paste through usb port on my computer.
