Date of tire manufacture

I purchase a new 2016 Honda Civic EX (Sensing) manufactured in Indiana in August 2016 and the date code on the FireStone tires were 4315.
Should I be concerned? Thanks Paul

Re: Date of tire manufacture

They were made in the 43rd week of 2015. The car you purchased was made in august of this year? Is that what it says on the VIN tag in the drivers door frame?

I have never seen a car with a production date of the current month and I am literally standing next to a car with 1 mile on it right now. Personally I wouldn't be worried about tires that were produced when your tires are labeled as being produced. I wouldn't ever buy a set of firestones, but I would drive a car that comes equipped with them.

? Whats the concern anyway?
parts can be stored for a time before being used to assemble a car.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Do you want a picture of my PDI built earlier this month (Aug 2016)?

I just find it strange that other Civic made before my Civic had tire date codes of 1716, etc.
Just trying to understand why or did the dealer do something. Thanks

If zero treadwear, tires are new, I wouldn't worry about it.

As sdaidoji said, parts can be stored for a time before being used to assemble a car

Take a walk around the dealers front lot and check date codes on other firestone tires?
or did the dealer do something. Thanks
What would you be able to do about it anyway? You own the car now, not them. IMO the time to quibble was before you signed on the dotted line.
