2017 Civic doesn't make sound when remote lock/unlock

Hi folks, hoping you can help - I can't get my 2017 Civic LX Sedan to chirp or honk when locking or unlocking. I have changed the setting in the system menu but it still isn't working. Any suggestions would be really appreciated - thanks!

LX = horn honk with locking double tap (default setting).

Does the horn still work when you push on the drivers airbag, or did it quit?

Make sure all 4 doors are closed completely
Make sure the hood and trunk are both closed completely

If it's still under warranty and it's broken then take it to the dealership
(hood latch switch may be a suspect)

Thanks man - yeah horn was working last time we tried it. Also, if anything is open, the car would indicate this on the info panel right? It always does when trunk, doors, etc. are open while car is started...

Have to find a Honda dealer willing to look at it without charging an arm and a leg!

Cheers

I don't think it will tell you if it thinks the hood is open. I don't have a similar car in front of me to check though.

Charging you? It's under warranty, yes?
