I have a 2017 Civic Coupe. For the first number of months that I owned it, every time I would go to park my car, my car would automatically start to slow down. The area where I park it is up against one of the exterior walls of my house that has a sliding glass door, so in the reflection of the glass I could also see that the 2 yellow lights at the front of the car would come on. It did the same thing when I would park it at other places. Then several months back, it just stopped doing this and has not done it since. I know this model does not come with (CMBS) Collision Mitigation Braking System as it does not have the button on the steering wheel.
Does anyone happen to know what this might be and what it would be called?
Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi sdaidoji. I have looked at the Owners Manual and I do not see anything like this listed. I was hoping somebody would be able to read the description and say what this feature would be called. Thanks.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 2017 Coupe - Automatic Braking Question
Buttons are on the dash at your left knee, not the steering wheel.
so in the reflection of the glass I could also see that the 2 yellow lights at the front of the car would come on.

yeah, my initial reaction was CMBS. My 18 Sport Hatch, for sure, doesn't have CMBS (no camera box majigger above the rear view mirror, only buttons by me "left knee," as ezone stated, are VSA and TPMS) and I have no automated braking action pulling up to my garage
What trim level do you have?
