Hi guys I have a 2000 civic dx auto and I was looking to get an ram intake for under 300. 300 being my max spending on it. Whats a good decent intake I can buy ?

A plastic short ram intake with a decent filter like AEM dryflow. The AEM pipe however is not plastic, therefore not ideal as it gets soaked with heat Start doing some research, there is tons of information on this very topic on this forum.

what if you wrap the metal tube with gold aluminium foil to block the heat? any thoughts?

at best it will trap more heat as an insulating barrier.
