hey guys.

Im having some idling problems with my 2000 civic DX. The car is all stock. I want to clean out the idle air control valve. From what I've read online all my symptoms are indicating that I should clean it out. I'm having some weird fluctuations in my RPM's when sitting at a light, and sometimes the RPM's get really low, and I get a rough idle.

does anyone have any kind of diagram on how to remove the entire air filter assembly, and air control valve? I'm having a problem getting the air filter element off.

does the idle erratically fluctuate? or does it just idle too low. i had an erratic idle but that was after an engine swap and i didn't ground the wire from the iacv properly. Had me stumped for a couple of weeks and then i decided to completely rewire and realized my little mistake.

I had the same problem in my 97. Took apart everything cleaned it all. It didnt help at all. still idled at about 200 RPM. I just changed the alternator and it got rid of the problem.
