The dreaded D16Y7 exhaust crack -___-

Hey guys, so basically, like a lot of other people on this forum, I have a HUGE crack along the center of the manifold where the four pipes meet. Rather than grab a nice new OEM one from honda I was thinking about going the other route and getting 4-2-1 headers. Thing is I still have the stock muffler system. I also need a catalytic converter somewhere in there because I have to pass emissions (even if its a shitty pass, i dont care as long as it passes every 2 years haha). Has anyone done the swap from stock to aftermarket while keeping the stock exhaust system? Help or a diagram/parts list would be awesome. Thanks.

When mine cracked I used an aftermarket one, still keeping the stock exhaust system. Paid like $110 vs $300-$400 from the stealership. Mine's a D16Y8 AT.

Cool but did you end up getting rid of catalytic converter altogether? Cuz I need it for emissions so where in that set does it go? I know most of them have the 4-2-1 header system and it just bolts right up. Problem is i will never pass the emissions test.

Aftermarket cats suck. They have very little material in them, hence the cheap price. You might be able to pass emissions once.

See if you can find someone to weld the crack or go 4-2-1 and use the bypass trick: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...on-w-pics.html
