which brand is better?

ok i have 2 questions

1. am i the only person posting in "basic engine performance?

2. which brand is better for a short ram intake? AEM or Injen?

1. I only created the basic performance sub-forum a couple weeks ago, the basic questions that are meant to be asked here have been all been asked here before but the threads are in other areas of the forum. It'll take some time to start seeing more threads in this specific forum..

2. A pipe is a pipe, so based on the filter, AEM.

i think k&N typhoon (with aem dryflow filter) is one of the best all around short ram intakes

2. gear, my car will only take aem or injen short ram (i have a flat K&N with a long *** tube that looks so ridiculous its takes up like 1/4 - 1/2 of the engine bay) (stock LX engine 99) im trying to get that giant *** tube out of the car (and the tube holder which is in the front left part of the engine bay)

oh okay,well pretty much any name brand will fit. might even try a generic if you spend time to adjust and custom mount it. like those $40 spectre pipe intakes depending on the shape you need, and still go with the aem filter.

in that case, ill just stick with a standard AEM short ram intake kit how often do i have to clean it?
