Nitrous Express stage 1 kit
anyone have or know anything about this kit? its supposed to work on an all stock motor when using up to a 75 shot. perhaps within the next month or two i may buy a nitrous kit and this seems to be the best one for a little civic engine. even though it uses an all stock motor i would still be replacing some parts just to be on the safe side and i would only be using a 50 shot....just want to beat other 7th generation civics and to be able to change my name to "15secQuaterMile" . and how does the open throttle switch work, like once i'm out of 1st gear (i have an automatic BTW) once i put "the pedal to the medal" it starts spraying? also is this a kit simple enough to install myself or would i need to get it installed somewhere? thanks for any help.

First off if unless you have done it before i would def have a pro install it....and by the way that is gonna cost you like 400-500 bucks...its an all day job....secondly a 50 shot will be safe on our engine and....The WOT switch allows you to spray when yes the pedal is to the metal.......don't really spray in 1st....and def not 5th.....its the weakest gear.....and dont squeeze unless your over 3000 rpm...later

hmmm thats like almost as much as the kit costs, but this is the only thing that would add some serious "go" to our poor little d16's.
also i'm going to replace the fuel rail, fuel pump and spark plugs, i'm sure there are other things i should replace but cant think of them, any other suggestions?

k first of all i suggest u do some research first, seems ur new to the whole nitrous thing and its a bad idea runnin something u dont even know about. fuel rails, pumps...are somewhat important but u might consider getting an exhaust, header, downpipe, high flow cat...just to give ur car "better air flow". then u get get the spark plugs, fuel pumps, rails, cams, pulley...etc. and yes thats the kit u want for our vics. running a 50 shot will be fine with ur stock motor, but definitely dont rush it...get ur exhaust, intake, header...etc setup first...the WOT(wide open throttle) switch activates the nitrous when ur pedeal is all the way down, just to be safe they wont let u spray till then. u might wanna do some more research about nitrous, go to TECH STUFF and search for "the nitrous post"

Ike- only in my dreams man, only in my dreams
sorry i should of mentioned this before, i do plan on getting an CAI, header, was thinking about an exhuast but wasnt sure if they were worth the money but if you people think it will help. i also should of mentioned i will just "get" the kit, not have it installed within the next month, probably wont be ready to use till summer. i am doing a lot of reading up on nitrous and how it works, also asking a lot of people about them, hence this thread. its just that its hard to find NOS info for 02 civics so i thought some people here might already have it installed.
