ok, seriously, what is the difference in intakes?
there are no differences...an intake is an intake is an intake...they all work the same. manufacturers just through stickers on them so that we think they're better. supposedly the difference between a CAI and a SRI is that the CAI gains more hp due to its position, because cold air contains more o2. although the thinking is right, everywhere you look on the net there will be different dyno results. about the aem v2, if you feel like spending another $40-50 for a louder noise then go ahead. you must be crazy if you can feel the difference 1-2 hp makes to your car. my friend bought a v2 for his 03 ex and we cant even tell the difference in performance.

Things that cause differences are:
If the tube is plastic vs. metal
The presence of a heatshield
Where the filter sits
Size and shape of the filter
Quality of the filter
Size of the tube
Bends in the tube
So it's not all the same. If it was, then every intake would dyno at exactly the same gain. Duh.
