Injen because you can't get a AEM CAI with your auto.

I had the same question a couple weeks ago. I went to my local performance shop and talked to the owner about the two. I found out that the AEM CAI is a gain of about 8.7 HP. To me seems pretty descent. I was looking on the INJEN website and took a look at their RD CAI for our cars. If my readings were correct, you get about the same HP. The guy I talked to said the same thing. But with your car it may be different since my car is an EX. If you haven't decided yet on what intake, take a look at the AEM V2 CAI, it may have better HP gains.

Would AEM CAI be better for a 5-Speed Ex? Im thinking about getting one and i want HP gain. About how much could i get out of this? I just saw a Dyno that showed an AEM CAI give a civic about 8.7 HP.

personally i like the positioning of the injen CAI, right behind the bumper to suck in true cold air.

Yup... being in the bumper also significantly reduces the likelihood of sucking water... which eliminates the need for the bypass valve. You'd have to drive up to your headlights in water, and be dumb enough to sit in it long enough for the bumper to flood to hydrolock the engine.

It looks like this with no bumper
No, you don't have to remove the bumper for the install, but it makes things easier, and isn't really that hard to remove.

The AEM CAI will give you 8.7 HP gain and about 6 LB of tourque. I've got one on my car and it runs nice!!

go with INJEN CAI RACE DIVISION, and you dont not have to remove the bumper to install, it just makes it easier if you do that. You cant get a cai from aem on an auto.

INJEN

i have a 2002 Civic ex auto and i put in a Injen CAI and it runs great i had to cut the splash guards through... it wasn't that big of a problem but if you think your going to get 8hp from any intake your in serious trouble
