Just Installed the K&N FIPK........

The installation was a breeze. It only took me less than an hour to completely install it. The quality of this kit is excellant compared to the AEM CAI I used to have. Everything fit perfectly. Nothing to hassle with. As for performance, I hardly feel any loss of low end power. The car accelerates much better throughout the entire RPM range. The noise of the intake isn't bad at all. You can't even tell it's there untill you get on the gas and hear it roar. As for people thinking it will such in hot air and that the heat shield doesn't do anything, I saw first hand proof that the heat shield on the intake does an excellant job of blocking hot air. My nieghbor has a device that you can point at any object and it will very accuratley measure the tempature of the object in seconds. After going for a 15 minute drive, I used the device to measure the tempature of the filter and to my surprise, I was only slightly above 100 degrees. The rest of the engine was many degrees higher. Also, I measured the spot where my AEM CAI used to primarily draw its air from, which was near the tranny, etc and the temp was over 200 degrees! For me, this is my own proof that, the K&N FIPK is certainly the best all around intake for 2001 and up Civics. And for everyone complaining that $208 shipped is too much too spend on an intake to modify a car, I don't want to listen to your crying and moaning. Go ahead and blow your money on a cheap intake which will make you lose performance and MPG. Just my .02 cents. Thanks

Awesome. I plan on making this a birthday present to myself. One question though, is this a manual-specific kit like the AEM or will it fit an automatic?
