AEM Short RAM Intakes

Hey.
I own a 2001 Civic Si(Can) so thats EX in the USA...and i see that AEM makes a Cold Air Intake for my model. They also have a short ram, but it says its only for Automatics. Will the Short Ram fit on my manual?
also, what other companies make short ram intakes for the 2K1 Civic?? and are they any good?

AEM, Injen, OBX, Weapon-R, there's plenty of options. I don't see why the short ram wouldn't fit a manual also.

Just my opinion:

If you're considering a CAI, you might as well get it instead of an SRI. The SRI is still located centrally in the engine compartment, so the air will still be significantly heated. The CAI is located a whole lot lower, farther away from the hottest elements in the bay.

The SRI might sound a little bit better (only because of its higher location) but a CAI will actually do the job it is meant to do.

If you go CAI, get a bypass valve if you get any kind of inclement weather. There's nothing worse than paying a couple grand for repairs when you didn't want to spend the extra 50 bucks for the valve.

I have the AEM CAI, and I love it.

unless you have the filter totally submerged in water, the bypass valve does jack. not worth 2 bucks, much less 50. the location of the filter will protect it more (behind a metal plate). i have an aem cai, and ive been driving in a flood. when i came up on a small pond and had to go through, i got up good speed (like 40 mph), switched off the engine and held the clutch in. when i was out of it, i just pulled a rolling start up, and motor fine. this technique is also good if your battery dies

I really don't see the point in buying one........ they only work if the WHOLE filter is submerged in water... 100% submerged....

If you drive through a big puddle, it won't do anything........ if you use the K&N Recharge Kit.. the Oil resists water
