I just replaced my air intake in my Honda Civic lx coupe, The old one was horribly constructed with shitty hoses and PBC pipes! I had to throw it all out and replace everything. What do you guys think I should do next under the hood? It already has after market headers but the stock exhaust. I'm thinking about doing 2 1/2" piping and adding one magnaflo or flowmaster. I know its only a civic but, I prefer it to be a bit louder. Any suggestions are welcome!
Could only find one intake kit locally and had to mod it quite a bit. I had to cut about 5" off the pipe and add a 90 degree bend to fit it. The unit was also 3" but I found a 3" to 2"1/2 adapter to mount on the throttle body.
It's definitely empty haha, I still have more work to-do before I get it on the road. the exhaust is broken clean off right behind the muffler, it's actually resting on the back axle.
I'd leave what's under the hood for now, personally. If it runs and drives well, and there's nothing else wrong, then there's no point in messing with it.
If you want to have more fun with it, I'd do tires/suspension, then just drive it.
If you're looking for power, you bought the wrong civic. Yes, you can K-Swap or boost, but financially it's a waste when compared to cars of equivalent value (Integras, for example).
