Anyone have any headers and exhaust set ups they recommend? I want a kinda deeper sound rather than the infamous annoying Honda sound that everyone knows and most hate.

It's a 1.7L engine so it is going to sound higher pitched.

The EX headers are already pretty free flowing so an upgraded one won't do much but look nice.

For deeper sound I always thought the HKS sounded good on the 7th gen.

Lots of non honda people like my exhaust sound, even my Mopar loving boss. But its expensive.

Good sound
-DC racing header
-oem ex down pipe
-high flow megnaflow cat.
-megnaflow 2.25 cat. back

Great sound
-also .25" head port
-stage 1 crower cam.

.....

The key is not to go over 2.25", if you are N/A. Most exhaust kits are 3.0", for boost, which fart if you don't have boost.

I got a lot of love from Honda haters for how I got my 2002 to sound. Here was my setup:

Intake:
AEM V2

Exhaust:
-Kamikaze ceramic coated header (good luck finding these anymore)
-Random Tech 2.25" high flow cat/direct fit downpipe
-A'PEXi WS-II cat-back exhaust (60mm/2.36" piping)

That setup sounded amazing. No angry/raspy swarm of bees sound, just a nice growl. Only other engine mod I had was a Crower Stage 1 cam (another one of those "good luck finding these anymore" deals)
