03 civic magna flow exhaust NEED HELP!!!!
i have a 2003 Honda civic ex 5 speed. my friend gave to me a manga flow exhaust. i brought it to a shop to have an estimate on installation prices its 180 to do it but its not cat back I'm not looking to do cat back they'll cut the pipe right before the back axle just near the resonator and make a pipe then put the exhaust on. my question is WILL MY CAR SOUND NICE JUST AXLE BACK with the resonator still on there or should i have them cut in front of the resonator to! please give me your best opinion i cant seem to find any videos.

I have a Dynomax Muffler on my 01 with the resonator still there and I don't think it's loud enough. You can cut the pipe with a saw then get muffler clamps to put it together. I'm going to be cutting mine out soon to see if it makes a difference.
Re: 03 civic magna flow exhaust NEED HELP!!!!
Is the Magnaflow a muffler or canister? With the muffler, it should sound mellow and maybe a tad louder than stock. If it's a canister, possibly a bit thoatier, but still subdued due to the resonator. Never been a fan of axle backs for that reason. It's hard to tell what you'll get. Any reason you are not interested in a full cat back? Also, if you are getting the work done at a shop that's been doing this for a while they could probably tell you exactly what it will sound like. Good luck.

I've got a vibrant axle back and I like the sound. I personally dont want to hear my exhaust on blast all the time. It hits a nice low bass tone but isnt overly loud. I like rear sec exhausts on the D17 cause as we all know I/H/E wont do much on our stock engine so not worth the dough imo and an axle back gives nice sound thats cost effective and not the cheap canister/fartcan sound.
