B17a1 questions.

Ok let me start off by telling you year make model OPPSS D17A1

2003 honda civic lx coupe 1.7lt.
stock engine/trans.
AEM intake
JDM heads
2.5" exhaust out
2.5"-3" muffler
cat delete

I had a few questions about my engine they are.

1) Can I convert to a DOHC? If not SOHC? (and a round about cost)
--just a yes or no on either

2) If yes on either what parts would I need to replace the stock or to help on the convert process and i'll price those later

3)(recap) If yes on either what type of ECU do i need and about whats the price range on it?

4) Would just changing out my Camshafts to performance cams make any big diff?

5) Loose hope in the engine and just save up to buy something that will fit?
---If this one wins, what type model should I go for?

Thanks

You should search first before asking these questions. And to answer your last question, yes.
