Re: Clutch and flywheel
dezod offers stuff... what kinda of clutch and flywheel do you want... and i assume you know what changing the flywheel does... i recomend the excedy for a direct replacement... thats what i have on mine... its the stage one steet/comp. clutch with disk and i just reflnished my flywheel... if you install it urslef... and have any questions... i have done it myself... feel free to askquestions...

Re: Clutch and flywheel
I have the Exedy Racing Stage 1 clutch and lightened flywheel. I absolutely love it, and my engine only has your standard bolt-ons (for now).
Here's the thread I made when I was researching it and then bought it:
Researching Gripforce Exedy set-up
Here's the thread I made when I got it and installed it:
Speedfoos' Gripforce Clutch
I'm really happy with it and know a couple other folks (Haysoos on d-series.org is one) who bought the same setup and also love it. The whole shebang cost me $425 shipped.
Oh, gsniper666, I still like the Ingall's stiffy now that its installed correctly. I've had it on for about 2 weeks now. It feels pretty much the same now as it did when I put it on wrong. Wheel hop is mostly gone now, and that's spinning them from a 5K launch, with a shriek in 2nd and a little chirp in 3rd.

Re: Clutch and flywheel
actually car is bone stock, my only plans are to do a few bolt ons(intake, exhaust/header, cam), but i know that a lighter flyhweel will increase engine response, my main concern was if there is any negative issues associated with a lighter flywheel which will effect driveability, and as for the clutch i dont want anything harsh, preferably close to stock. and yes, this car is my dd.

Re: Clutch and flywheel
Not really, just try not to go under 11 pounds. Its makes gettin going from a stop a little more difficult. You have to rev a little higher as you have less inertia (especially on those 7lb Fidanzas) , but then again, there are several folks who swear by the 7 pounders. Since you're staying with mild bolt-ons, and a its a daily driver, stick with a full-face organic (no 4 or 6 puck discs), and maybe a lighter flywheel. There are theories out there that a lighter flywheel lowers your gas mileage because there isn't as much inertia behind a lighter flywheel so you have to stay on the gas more to keep the same speed. If that's true, I haven't noticed it on my 11 pounder. Everyday really isn't Earth Day.

Close to stock, I would go Stage 1 Comp Clutch (not to break the bank)

If you adiment on a full faced disc, Stage 2

Exedy organic

These are the 3 cheapest, closest to OE and still have some value to them.
