Wondering if I ordered the right stuff (Exhaust)
I ordered a Maganaflow muffler and another smaller muffler (Resonator) for my exhaust. The bigger muffler (shiny), I will use as the rear section with 2.25" piping up to the smaller 14" muffler that will be the resonator. I'm sure I ordered the bigger muffler correctly but the smaller muffler's specs are 4" wide, 2.25" in/out but with 2.5" core. What does a larger core size mean and will in have any effect good/bad on the way it will sound/perform? Will a smaller core size like 2" be any difference if there is any?
Thanks for any input in advance.

I am fairly sure you order the right stuff. 2.25" piping will be good and resonators are basically sections of exhaust pipe that expand to a larger diameter and allow the sound waves to bounce off the walls and cancel out. It will give the exhaust a nice tone to it.
From the specs you gave I think it will work. I think it should have a good tone to it also. When its all set up post some sound clips. I'm interested in what the sound will be. Good Luck
Thanks guys for the answers. Well I kind of had an idea what to order but I was just double checking here or at least just trying to get some re-assurance of my purchase. The guy that I bought it from told me that these two would work together, but he deals with all different types of setups so I just wanted to check here to get your opinion. Plus I wanted to get it shipped out today so I had to make a quick purchase, also it was only $50 so if it doesn't work or sound good it would be a small loss. Either way I definately will get sound clips up when it is installed.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Muffler model is 14829.

I was going to get the catback but I don't like the canister style, this muffler I bought is oval style. Kind of like Apex'i style BUT HALF THE PRICE! The cost was $100 Shipped!
I will definately post pics and sound when installed!

I figure if I can get it installed for about $100, I can get away with a nice sounding exhaust with larger piping welded together for around $250! If it sounds good then I will be doing cartwheels in front of the muffler shop...

Yeah, u bought the right stuff. Make sure you get 2.25 inch piping. if your going headers back, then you could even run 2.5 or whatever, but just stick with the 2.25 if your going cat back. Looks good bro.

Only part that sucks is your can instal it yourself, and have to pay a welder to hook you up. Any you wont be able to take your exhaust apart down the line if you ever go back to stock.
