I'm in the market for a new header for my car ('02 civic EX). i was browsing and came across the DC Sports 4-2-1 race header for '01-'05 civics. i was wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

and just for reference, this is NOT the shorty 4-1 header that most people on this site has.

i've been around the site for a while, so i know whats good and whats not. namely, i'm debating on the HP header, but having to modify my motor mounts discourages me from getting it.

It's a good header but it removes your cat. I have the hp header and test pipe currently fyi. If you absolutely have your heart on getting a header I'd just get a shorty and keep the cat on and call it a day.

i'm going to try to get my mechanic to look into nudging the HP header a bit to get it to fit like you did.

oh, i also saw your video of your driveby with the header on your ride. do you think if i get an RSR-EX Mag exhaust, it'll be quieter (i've never heard the RSR exhaust in person so i dont know how quiet it is)?

It should be quieter with the RSR exhaust but my exhaust isn't terribly loud but at wide open throttle at screams like in that video. Keep it below 4000 rpms and you'll be ok.

wait so the hp header makes u modify ur motor mount? is this the race header h26 or the other hp?

we're talking about the full race header, which is one long peice, so the h26 one...

just buy mine! i got one on ebay for sell....its made from Top Speed, I was one of the first peepz on here to get the header and high flow cat....its stainless steel and is basically indestructable...its used about 15,000 miles and in excellent condition...no modification needed..just place thru the top of the engine bay...let me know! Btw, its a shorty header.

I'm currently running the dc sports 4-2-1 full race header with apexi ws2 cat back and love it the sound is great im always getting compliments on it power wise im happy with it torque is great and top end is good to. i just finished installing act stage 2 clutch and act 8lb. flywheel and i love it the car pulls real hard now im thinking of going boost so im going to be getting rid of the header and some other things pm me if you interested good luck
