i am looking for a shirt kit for my 05 civic 1.7L. does anyone know where i can get a good one and what the best brands are?

Why do you want a shirt kit?

I assume you mean shift kit. You have two choices, Short shift adapter or complete aftermarket shifter assembly. As far as adapter, there's the DC sports one. Complete assemblies, there's the Revo SS and the B&M.

yeah i meant shift kit. and i need one for an automatic transmission. any suggestions?

Why the hell do you want a short throw kit for an AUTOMATIC!!!!!!!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone bothered to make one for an auto.

Uhh, You mean like a sport shift kit that you replace the springs and check ***** in the transmission valve body?

Sorry man, I haven't heard of one for the autos. The only reason I know about them is because I'm going to put one onto my automatic Talon TSi.

Yeah, second that. Now that I know what you're talking about, I've never even heard of one for these cars. Why exactly do you want one? You're not gonna get any gains from a D17 auto...

i never knew they made shift kits for auto 4-bangers. I had one on my old GTA but that was a V8.

There's no reason to lock this thread. It was a valid question. All they do is quicken the shifts of the automatic. It's no different the putting a short throw shifter on a manual tranny.
