i know this may be sumwhere already but i looked n couldnt really find it. do i need to have my exhaust custom bent for a 01 hx or will the kits they cell for the ex lx n dx work? ive asked shops around me and they all say they dont know. im just lookin for help casue i just got it back from my accident and its kitted n painted now. the only thing im missingis the exhaust tone. ne ideas would hel. again sorry if this is a repost.

nope. you sir are wrong . the hx motor has vtec just like the ex. its not a d17a2 and not a d17a1... i forget which one it is, but im sure it isnt a d17a1.

so if i went with a ex manifold what would i do bout the 2 cats the hx has? just run 1 and re wire the o2 sensors so that the all read off 1 cat? i am correct that the hx has 2 cats 1 under and 1 on the manifold correct? ne others with a hx that have done exhaust?

Thanx Rennen, you are correct. The engine code is a d17a6, my bad 100%. I had been reading an article earlier that day that lumped the HX into the lx/dx category for some reason.

With my prior statement corrected...
I dunno if the ex manifold would fit, I would assume it would its the same as the a2 but has the lean burn functionality.

As to the 2 cat's that again is HX specific and may be part of the HX's lean burn system.
