can my civic's front seats be changed?

I have a '04 civic lx with SIDE AIR BAGS

I really like my car.... but I am 6'3" 200lbs and the seats are the most UNCOMFORTABLE car seats I have ever sat in!

The problem is the Back of the seat as the sides of the seat stick out too far and there isn't enough room between.

I sat in a '06 civic and the seats are MUCH better.

So I was just wondering if my seats could be changed..... I am guessing thay can... But because of the side air bags it would cost WAY too much.

Thanks

first of all...use the search button.

and yes you can change out your two front seats. you can slap on a rsx type s two front leather seats. those are comfy. either that or you can go with aftermarket racing seats such as sparco seats, bride seats, and etc.

RSX and civic Si seats are a direct swap. You only need to dremel out 1 bolt on each seat. I actually have RSX-S leathers and they are great.

Other aftermarket seats, like sparco bride momo etc, can be purchased with brackets custom to our cars.

06 Front seats won't be much of upgrade from 04 seats.

Try to look into Si or RSX S seats, they are relatively cheap and direct swap.
For the Si seats, SRS airbag seats are pretty hard to find.
So the best bet would be getting RSX Type S seats.

No there is black and tan.
The tan leathers don't look too off in the gray interior, but they surely dont match either.
