AEM V2 intake on 01 LX
Hey Folks What is the best air filter for this setup? I got a cone filter with the plastic circle in the front...Are there any without this, that are all filter? more filter equals more air, right?

more filter does not always mean more air...... it depends on how much air the car really needs.
the only filter that comes to mind thats "all filter" that goes on aftermarket intake systems is the HKS filter.

I do agree it sucks alright. It sucks in a lot of air alright...lol.
If your going to make a comment like that, you can say all intakes suck. btw, all intakes do suck performance wise for our stock d17's.

What's wrong with AEM filter cone??
If your looking for performance out of your intake, don't bother, and don't waste anymore time. You not going to get any hp gains worth your time.

phuviano - well i still am using the AEm filter that came with the intake, it's the one with the plastic that i was talkinga bout...but it has a cut in it (small) so i figure i ought to replace it anyway, why not get the best I can?

this isnt a "AEM V2 sucks" or "intakes sucks" thread. Unless you own/owned a V2, those opinions are useless in this thread. Besides, it already seems like he owns a AEM V2.
anyway, is your filter the dry-flow filter? maybe AEM will replace it under warranty.
