K&N Typhoon
I ordered this intake in red from cardomain a couple of days ago. Apparently k&n discontinued red so they told me to choose blue or polished. I chose polished. Well I guess k&n misinformed them because I recieved an e-mail from cardomain today and they told me they don't have polished. So now I have the choice of stainless or blue. Question is, should I go with blue or stainless? And, is stainless the silver one they have on their site?

I was writing about the Intake that you ordered, I just left a message at your phone, but thought I should send an email as well. K&N only has the blue or the Stainless version of the intake now, we had changed it out to the Polished previously because they said they had it, but apparently they didn’t. I apologize for having to change your order again, but please let us know if you would like any of these other colors to replace the polished version.
you can go on the k&n site and see the actual one's. the part number for the silver one is 69-1008TS. i have been running into the same problem. i was looking for the polished one, but it seems no one has them. i found a polished one on e-bay, e-mailed the seller, but have not heard anything in 5 days.
i was going to buy a Typhoon intake but after reading the common forum post about intakes, getting expensive intakes only gains about 1-3 hp and its not worth the money so i just got SRI AEM good brand. i guess some are different becuase of the sounds thats how i see it now but add a exhaust and its music to your ears (non ricey exhaust)

I noticed a slight gain, but Man does it sound sweet when i first start the motor cold. You can hear the his from under my hood form 100 feet away. not to mention it has a beautiful deep tone to it when you slam on the gas. I wish i could find an exhaust that offered that same super low tone, only when i got on the gas.

its a good intake, just too noisy for me compared to weapon-r. i like to hear the engine
^RSR exhaust is what you want. quiet when foot off the gas, loud when accelerating.
