The revo ss is a full replacement. Adaptors that add onto your stock shifters ususally only shorten throws 1-3-5... leaving 2-4-R stock distance.

idk bout the BC one, but i love my revo. and the second version of it IS adjustable from stock to short however you want it. they market it towards the rsx.
assembley>adapter
EDIT: i got the metal bushings and the greys kit too. its all worth it. there is NO play.

Anyone want to defend the buddyclub ss? I'll be buying a short shifter REALLY soon, so is it really worth the extra 40 bucks just for the name? I'm pretty sure they are both full-replacement shifters, and I know the v2 of the Revo is adjustable. I head rumors of the stick breaking on the revo, though. 99% of what I've read on the revo is that it's great and totally worth it...basically, does anyone have the buddyclub ss, what are your thoughts, please speak up!

the Revo has been proven to be a great mod on our cars. Go with what is trusted. The stick of the revo is about a 3/8" steel rod..
try to break that. the upgrade kit does help with play and stiffness over all but isnt needed.

Just wondering because a SS is most likely my next mod.. where do you get the version 2 of the Revo SS, also where do you get the bushings and grey's kit? I heard those 2 things makes the shift clean.

i had a revo, the plastic broke. was the first version, non adjustable.
the base where the ball end of the shifter is, the plastic cracked. i had to drive home and 3rd gear was the lowest gear i could use (1 and 2 were impossible to get into)
just wanted to let people know THATS how they break, not the metal shaft

i got it used (read: free throw in when i bought the car). there was a ton of grease down in there, the plastic ball just cracked down the center. probably could have JB welded it back together, but didn't bother.

i say revo build quality isn't very good. several of my friends have rsx-s's both old and the new 05-06. they say they've talked to several people on their forum that have had their revo ss shift rod snap. i think there's a video my friend showed me where a guy snapped his while he was racing. so yea just cuz it's made of steel doesn't mean it's impossible to break.

Very nicely made and uses the stock housing.
