Alright... I'm tired of searching for answers to my header questions, so I’ll make it brief.

I want to get the dc sports racing header, and I’m wondering if I need to get a mil eliminator to keep the check engine light from coming on, and if I can pass an emissions test.

It’s a 03 ex and I've got a dc sports tcs and a v2 intake.

Please keep the flames to a minimum

If i'm not mistaken, the race header gets rid of the cat, so it won't be emisions legal.

correct. there is just a pipe where the cat should be. so no it won't pass emissions but you can get a mil eliminator to turn off the check engine light.

Could I have a high-flow cat welded on?

I guess the bottom line is passing emissions. Is there any decent top portion only header that will pass emissions?

why not just a dc header and high flow cat?

the race header is one piece so no you cant put a cat on. if you want both get a hi flow cat and top portion header.

alright, i decided to go the conservative route, and get the hp header (top only)... do i need to get a mil eliminator?

the dc race header is not a 1-piece, its a 2-piece unlike the k-series.
you will need a mil eliminator or you can diy non foulers, those work.

No way will you pass emissions, but you can op to get the dc sports header, and just get a hi-flow cat with that.

the DC race header is a 4-2-1 design is it not..2 piece? it generates more power then a HP/DP

like i said, althoug it is a 4-2-1 design its still a 2 piece. whether or not it makes more power than the hp/dp i wouldnt know since i've never dynoed.
