i was thinking about getting my exhaust angled.Can any performance shop do this? do i have to make any changes before hand?

You have forgotten that MOST of our angled exhaust come that way from whoever we buy from, a la HKS. We would NEVER think about just angeling it for looks.

The funny thing is some of you will pay 500 for the rear section of the exhaust and gain nothing but decibles. And others will spend 60 bux for a muffler run 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 catback pipe and you still have the nerve to flame them. If you ask me running half an exhaust system is the (rice).

yeah, there is a company you can send your exhaust out to and they will bend it for you. let me try and find the name for you....a couple of people on here do a lot of business with them....

Well most real race cars tend to have as little exhaust piping as legally possible.

The point of the angled exhaust is to have the fewest possible bends in the pipe. The exhaust tunnel on cars like Evos, WRXs, supras and those other cars you see with the slanted exhausts, is near the center of the car. So you make one bend, run it to the bumper cut out and you end up with the angled muffler.
Now on the other hand, if you stick your head under your car, the exhaust tunnel basically runs in line with the bumper cut out. So you're actually ADDING an unnecessary bend to the exhaust, which is contradictory to the point of its function.
So basically, in the true definition of it where it adds questionable appearance and hinders function, yeah, its rice.
