wut hp gains can I expect from this exhaust setup??
I'm buying a used exhaust setup for 600$ cdn... it includes Megan Racing exhaust manifolds, Megan hiflow cat and apexI GT catback. wut hp gains could I expect on a D17 with this setup? thanks
when i put my intake it, i was like mad ricing guy, i thought it was fast haahah, cuz it sounded louder, but honestly no power gain, couldnt really feel it, it was after i put on my dc exhaust and felt a bit more, i think its like u dont feel any horsepower gain when its 3 or less, intake + exhuast problem gives like 3+ haha maybe 4

I hate when some people here are so pesimistic, "you'll gain 1 hp", common, i know our cars don't make that much horsepower from exhaust, header and intake, but after you put them on, you're able to feel the difference, they will not give you 40 hp but theres a big difference from stock, you have to be content for what you have. So let's be less pesimistic...

gains with bolt ons on the D17 engine is not a lot. Some of us have been here a while and seen/learned/tried many things to make power.... thats all.
besides, the D series was meant to be efficient, economical, and basic transport.... so it's inherent design doesnt help either.
A friend just gave me some advice on this, I guess I'm just gonna spend da $$ on some suspension mods, I got blown shocks so thats a priority I guess, I might go with some coilovers maybe some Teinsss

i think i gained hp and tq when i did IHE pnp on my auto. It only gained 10-15whp but thats still pretty good and its faster than stock. Feels like a normal car.
you will feel better pull on top end. i got the megan racing header, the exhaust manfold as you say, and the test pipe. i dont have the megan raicng catback exhaust though. i have a muffler with a custom 2.25 inch custom exhaust piping. you will feel a difference but nothing to be excited about. you'll be happy with it at first but you'll get used to the extra pull and you will get bored of it. trust me. you should just save up for suspension mods like you said.
the car will feel responsive and you may gain somewhere between 5-10 hp... but you should be asking... is that really worth it? Why not save for a while towards a turbo? just my $0.02.
