get an axle back, cat-backs aren't worth the money if you're not doing heavy engine work or turbo.
stick with smaller outlet for quietness i'd have to say.

axle-back man, that's what you are lookin for. Don't buy the cheap tip from ebay as it would not give you any sounds or so. Also axle-back can be back to stock whenever and no need to weld it on.
Intake noise dose sound great and do not cost that much. But if you want your exhaust for look and sound I would say axleback would be your best bet. Dont waist money on just a tip the people that have just the tips around here sound realy raspy.

From reading many reviews of peoples experience with full cat backs its very little to no power difference. Save the cash and go with a quality muffler or axleback. If your looking into just the muffler for looks and not too loud... look into magnaflow ?
When I bought my exhaust I asked the owner if it would be better to run the pipe back to the cat or just cut it behind the second muffler. He said because it was the stock cat and that he didnt have the specific cat with an O2 sensor hole that it would be pointless to run the pipe back to it. Ended up just taking it from just behind the second muffler. I'm assuming thats what axleback is. Sounds good tho.
