no muffler

i took my muffler off the other day, and i kinda like how it sounds. i was wondering though if it is bad for your car to do this. i was also wondering if having an exhaust system was really nessacary, i was wondering if mabey you could run a pipe from the headers to the side, like behind the front tire or something.

also, it sounds really bad, does it? i drove my old civic w/o muffler and my ears were crying....

That sounds like a great idea, why don't you do it and post pics! I love the idea man, keep them coming!

exhaust is for losers, once someone see's you rocking your side outlet pipe, everyone will want to do it! just don't burn your foot when stepping out of your car.

why not do that nice weedwacker engine swap too, since this is just as useful and "cool".

a civic with no muffler and I bet you will complain when people call you a stupid ricer, right?

haha well you better expect it if you are taking off your muffler! I have nothing against you but I will agree with anyone who calls you a ricer for having no muffler!

hey hey now! I took mine off for a few days... It actually got be more power. But I do have an exhaust, with stock cat, and resonator, so it develops enough back pressure.

the problem is that when people have no muffler it sounds terrible. hondas get raspy. its a well known fact.

dont buzz down the road people! it doesnt sound good at all!

i dont care if you think im rice, i could really care less. i want my car to be the loudest i could possibly get it. idk why, i just like super loud cars. and i live in hillbilly town texas so it really dosent matter much about emmisions and how loud it is, they could care less.
