intake
I LIKE MY V2
performance, hmm more than your regular short ram or even cold air that ive ever used. but still not a big power gain.
ease of install= simplicity itself about 20 min ( most of that was spent stomping the crap out of the old 100 pounds of intake crap)
sound hmm, well it can be real quite or sorta loud, it sound sreally clean and very nice tho, not liek the fipk which IMO sounds like ****.
theres a guy local here in socal selling a V2 for 155 picked up or 165 shipped, its more money but its worth it, i actually paid 200 for mine, this is a steal that hes offering. ILL pm u the link

I like the K&N typhoon. It is quieter than the fipk upto 4k rpms if you don't punch it. The others get noisy after 3k. Typhoon also makes more power as proven on the dyno.

Oh btw, I have tried the aem sri, fipk, and the typhoon sri. The typhoon felt like it had the most power gain and was the least noisy out of them all.
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

I have used an AEM CAI and I have cut it off to be a SRI. I recently switched to the FIPK II. I like it so much better than AEM. You can litterally feel the heat difference on either side of the heat shield. That being said, the minor difference that our engines see from intakes isn't really worth debating anymore anyways, IMO.
FIPK has a heatshield and a velocity stack ... I think that it would be a better performer than the rest. Also, the intake piping is made of plastic, so it doesn't heat up as hot as the other intakes
I think K&N's dyno showed about 5.5 for typhoon when it had the full CAI extension on. I've never seen a graph for a SRI going above 4 or so (for 7th gen).
Though I guess you have to take company dyno charts as the truth, my concern is that the V2's metal design will get too hot compared to the FIPK. Plus no heat shield.
And the dual chamber design? All hype?

all hype. the typhoon stays surprisingly cool for metal (prolly cause its painted) and it sounds better than the fipk. But it is more of a torque intake. This is the dyno before and after the typhoon on my 2k2 ex auto. Almost no hp, and lots of torque. But keep in mind it was 20F hotter when the intake was dynoed.

ya you're reading wrong lol. the blue after curve goes as far as 15.1 and then is around 13 at higher rpm. Maybe at idle is when the reading got taken.
