2003 Civic LX Exhaust
2003 Civic LX Exhaust
Could you guys tell me what my best bet is for a exhaust system. My local muffler place said they would go it for 275 for a flowmaster and then 2 and 1/2 inch pipes.. Lemme kno if this is good or should I go with a bolt on one from Magnaflow and post some sound clips if you have any! Thanks!

This is sooo subjective. It depends what you want. If you're doing muffler + pipe, you want either 2" or 2.25" stainless, preferrably mandrel bent (call and ask, SOME places have a mandrel bender, not many).
Full system, RS*R (~$530) fits the best. I used to have one. Very quiet, very mellow, decient midrange, died on top.
Tanabe Hyper Medallion (~$500) is another good one. I have this now. Fairly quiet, good midrange, doesn;t really die on top. Only one fit issue is it vibrates on the tunnel in the rain and makes a bunch of noise when idling. Beyond that, fit is very good and clean.
For loud and annoying, probably the most quality system is the Tanabe Racing medallion, but any thermos bottle will probably do.
Anyone will tell you what they have is the best... just so you know.
Unless it specifically says LX/DX you need either an extension pipe or a muffler shop fabed pipe to take up the distance where the cat on the EX is. Greddy makes an exhaust for the LX/DX specifically. I'm sure others do, I just don't know them.
