oh yea. I tried aem sri, fipk, and typhoon. I went back to stock with the previous two, but I'll be keeping the typhoon. dyno doesn't lie, and there's obviously more low end torque. Not really any extra hp though.
I just bought my intake today from sound domain. It was only $4 more with shipping than ebay and its from a store. 165 with free shipping. I woudl jump on this guys its a great deal. i was going to go with the fipk and to some extent iw ish i did because of the plastic piping but i am going to trust gearbox that the typhoon even when heatsoaked performs well. I may heat wrap mine. I will never show my engine bay off anyways. i will never put enough into the cars looks to ever have anyone care enough to look. But from everything i have read this seems like teh best intake out.

heat wrap doesn't matter. Eventually it will get hot, but you might get a few more minutes of colder tube. The tube temp also doesn't matter that much because plastic gets hot too, just not as much as metal. Air moves faster through mandrel bent metal pipe so that counters the hotter tube effect. Also you might not have liked the noise the plastic fipk makes. Very different than the metal noise.
