Does anyone know how its going to sound? Low and deep? Stock? Fart cannish? I just need to know before I throw down some cash for it. Thanx

ps - I moved my own thread, coz I have a feeling it will be deleted from the general auto ramblings section

2.25" ractive muffler assuming you have stock piping from the header to this. if so, it will be not loud. but you would notice the sound. our cars use 1.75" piping i believe? for stock size. if you were to upgrade to 2.25" though, you'll have more room for airflow and eventually the exahust will sound louder.

but just muffler and stock pipes, it wont be super loud, but noticeable. as for low or deep...that depends on the muffler. most likely, the tube style mufflers (apexi n1, fireball, etc) are more likely to sound "fart" lol compared to the canister style ones like rsr ex mag, greddy sp, apexi worldsport, etc.

IMO, i would wait until the full exhaust/catback.

HKS HiPower axle back, cheap (got mine from robearracing for 280 shipped) and gets the job done with looks and sound. Lets face it, our cars arent' going to gain HP with catbacks that justify the price of them unless you are FI.

how does your HKS exhaust sound exactly? is it a low deep tone noise? no raspy sound at all?

Well.... It was nice and deep sounding before the header, no cat, custom piping . But before all my other mods and I just had the axle back it was very nice sounding. It was deep at low rpms but at high rpms my intake would be louder than the exhaust. I got many compliments on how it sounded and looked. Now it's louder then hell and nitrous makes it even louder haha.
