I'm still researching this one...

I will not cut the bumper out just to put exhaust on... I don't want the whole thing to hang too low.

Borla makes an exhaust for our cars? I didnt know that!!
My buddy had their system on his Impala SS....it was very nice, but extremely overpriced. He says if he could do it over again he would go with magnaflow.....but were talkin bout the civic, not an Impala.

I wouldnt waste your money, I had exhaust on my civic and it did nothing but make noise. Unless you are seeing performance gains, adding exhaust does nothing but rice out the car. With I/H/E you are only going to pick up 5-7hp tops, but you will make a **** load of noise doing it.

I would save the money for other mods that are more practical. But if you feel like wasting $800+ for 5hp, then by all means go for it. I had a magnaflow catback, it sounds good, but doesnt help performance.

The SI is more repsonsive to mods then the D17. Dont expect any big gains with bolt ons, like I stated before I/H/E is only going to net you 5-7 hp.

thanks for the info but i think im still gonna go with it everyone feels that I/H/E is a important mod even though its a bolt on. I do see your point however what do you suggest then for mods cus you seem to know what your talkin about.

what about the 02 am i gonna need a sim o2 sensor

You arent going to make any power with bolt ons, so the only route is turbo, nitrous or swap.

The exhaust would be helpful if you choose to go the turbo route in the future, but if not you are probably better off saving that money for a nitrous kit.

Then you could go for a 2.5" exhaust. A new header would be going to be replaced once you get a turbo manifold, so you can either sell if off when the time comes, or save your money off the bat.

i would go with the following brands (by priority): Tanabe, HKS, Greddy, Invidia, Fujitsubo, and Skunk2.

Check out tunermarket.com, a new price comparison site, they have awesome selection of the shops that sell the above brands.
