To take out the resonator or not ?
after all this research and finding out that best bang for buck soundwise would be to take out the resonator, this weekend I am gonna take out the resonator. I have a stock ex midpipe with a magnaglow exaust will it be too loud or sound ricey ? opinions ? Im gonna try it out and if it doesn't sound good ill just put it back. Ill post a sound clip after im done. this is the exaust :

keep the resonator. Get a new catback or something, maybe a hi flow cat would do the job nicely. just keep the resonator, it will sound crappy i believe.
fools! get a real catback or stay stock. you won't get sound/gains with just replacing a muffler. removing resonators makes a gross raspy/ricer sound. plus quiet>loud. you'll get sick fast of exhaust noise. intakes are much more tolerable to the ear.
I have that same muffler, custom made cat-back with no resonator. It sounds great, but it really sounds raspy and ricey when the car is cold. Once the car is in its normal operating temp. it sounds great. I love the sound when I floor it.
Sounds deep when driving slow, at Idle you may not even notice the sound, and when cruising, it doesn't sounds any loud.
If you don't install a cat back, and you remove the resonator with that muffler, it will really sound ricey because the exhaust gasses are going a lot faster thru the muffler than with a 2.25" cat-back. And because the muffler input diameter is larger than the stock cat-back, plus its velocity won't let the muffler slow it down to make it quieter.
