I bought this exhaust setup from anothe rmember and need to figure out what this pipe is. I am wondering what the pipe in the middle of the picture is. I have an LX and bought this exhaust thinking that I would have to custom fab it to make it fit, but I talked to some people and they think that the middle pipe is a downpipe with either a high flow cat or resonator for an LX. I originally thought it was a downpipe/cat for the EX, but I am not really sure. There is a bung after the resonator/cat so that leads me to believe that it is a highflow cat converter.

So, does anyone know what this really is and with this setup, can I directly bolt it up to my Civic LX Coupe? Also, if this downpipe fits my car, will I need to extend the o2 sensor wires to get them to reach this?

yes it's a downpipe for an EX. i don't think you need to extend any wires but i could be wrong. you may also have to change your header to make it all fit.

are you sure it is for an EX because I looked at some EX downpipes and the bend in them seems to be more of a 90 degree bend and this one is more on the lines of 45-60 degrees.

blah. i should have check it in the first place. it is a downpipe w/ highflow cat for the EX models. I guess it will be up for sale now....

yeah man sell that header and buy a shorty 4-1 and it will all bolt up....wait no it wont first you will need to get an ex sway bar or it will hit there. second when your cat back bolts up to it the curve from the middle of the car to the passenger side will be about 3 inches too short so youll need to extend the pipe. than your exhuast will be too long in the end so youll need to cut three inches off after the curve, but be careful where you cut it or youll mess it up at another curve or the flanges wont meet up......better yet, sell it and buy one made for your car....

basically you bought an exhaust for an ex. now you have to convert to a ex exhaust. all you need now is a ex header and ex front sway bar. sucks but we're trying to help.
