racing sports akimoto intake

I used to have an Akimoto intake on my Accord and it rocked. They are all pretty much the same though. I have an AEM SRI and I plan on getting an Akimoto filter. I don't like how the AEM filter wastes all the front of the filter, the Akimoto has the front opening in the filter to pull in more air.
If you come across one, by all means, get it...they are good intakes. But like I said, all intakes are is a pipe with a filter on the end. I think actually the filter is more important than the intake pipe itself. Later !!
