Got my Short Ram Intake installed and...
the damn engine light came on!!! lol.. which sucks.. cuz i got my maintenence required light on before too ( i kno how to get rid of that one though).. so is there any to reset this thing and get rid of it?
I've searched the forums already and got vague/brief answers..
So for all u ppl who have done an cai or sri install with engine light popping up.. how did u get rid of it?
Did you have to reset the ecu somehow?
How much will it cost for honda to fix it for me ( i know it would void the warranty but i'm already past my warranty at 45k miles)?
Or is there no way past it?

Maybe check the intake sensor? I'm not sure about the SRI, but with the cold air's if you don't reset the fuel intake ecu the engine light will come on.
Check the DIY for the CAI, it should help you out.

is everything installed correctly?
have you d/c the battery before working on the car? if no, do it and keep it disconnected for 10min or so. d/c the negative or even both.
is the IAT sensor still in? (its the sensor that plugs into the intake piping) its located near the throttle body. if no, d/c the battery and then plug that in
i installed my aem sri and no prob at all. i just followed the directions that was given to me in the box. honda can fix it, but it wont be under warranty because their going to say by installing that intake, your warranty is now voided.
let me guess, did you buy one of those generic short ram intakes?

When the guy installed my Intake.. He didn't disconnect the Battery so i'm sure that is the main problem.. because the IAT sensor is connected to the spot on the Intake..
Will Disconnecting my Battery Actually work though?

i installed aem sri, you dont need to disconnect the battery install it. Its the sensor like everyone else said. When you reconnect it, it should go away. if you want to take it to the dealer, just put your stock intake back in. They wont be able to tell anywayz.
I didn't d/c the battery when installing my AEM SRI either since the wife lost the radio code and I didn't want to make the trip to the dealer. As long as the sensor is in correctly there should be no codes.
Don't take it to the dealer. Just reset the codes by d/c the battery, make sure the sensor is seated correctly, wait a couple of minutes and r/c the battery.
