Shift Adapters recieved this afternoon... Just installed and took a trip to Arby's. Mmmmm Sourdough. Anyways I love it, the throw on mine is set conservatively at the middle setting (2 of 3) for FORE/AFT and the low setting for (1 of 2) SIDE/SIDE. The shift is greatly reduced you can't really tell sitting in the driveway but when you roll out its a big difference. Highly recommended but the install takes a bit more than expected due to me not having an 8mm wrench had to borrow from dad. You will also need a 9mm to hold the square nut on the passenger side of the SIDE/SIDE adapter. One side is 8mm with a panhead bolt and a sleeve for perfect alignment the other side is the square nut that should be locked into the offset in the passenger side but my offset was too wide and would not hold so a 9mm held it while I tightened it down. Small issue nothing big just took my time and lubed everything really nicely with Lithium grease as I went. Oh and by the way shipping was 5 days from pay date. Excellent.
Cheers

forgot to mention to the forum that there's a new shifter out.. cuz when i got word of it, the side adapter was still in prototype.
anyhow, its much like the comptechUSA one for the RSX (http://www.comptechusa.com/store/product410.html), which fits our civic too.. which has a side adapter too.. although this one is cheaper (along with both) and has a shorter throw than all other adapters.
we have one review here.. and IMO, he made a good purchase decision.. if you dont want a shorter stick, and just want shorter throw.. than this adapter would be one of the better choice.
the price itself gives it more points in the value department. pair it with a stock shifter, it'll probably feel more tight than a revo ss which loosen up after prolong use.
the B&M is nice, when it doesnt bend the cable or strip the shifter assembly. (search on that if u want on this forum, or rsx forums) not sure has this been addressed yet.
although I havent tried this, its a tried and true design, and from the pics/diagrams ive seen, it shouldnt cause any problems.
and to assume that this is crap without even trying it is pretty silly. if uve tried as many shifter, or know their design as well as i do.. u can easily see that this changes the throw even more than other adapter, and even more than the revo.
the main thing the revo has really going for it is the shorter stick shift.. the whole unit concept isnt that big of a deal.. the plastic molding etc. could really be better. anyone that owns a revo knows the difference between that assembly and the stock one.. how much harder, more durable the stock one is.. and how much more easily the revo one can be worn from tear.
anyhow not that the revo is complete crap or anything, it still gives quite a bit of difference in shift feel due to the shorten shifter. and they all have their pros and cons.
all this can be researched on, ive typed plenty on most shifter, and so have many others.

Nothing beats the sturdiness of the OEM assembly.
The Revo is amazing no doubt... but also fragile...

Alrite i got mine last week and put it on.. feels a lot better than the revo. It feels more sturdier. This also shortens side movement where as the revo does not. Nothings wrong with the revo though.
Tried to install mine the other day but ran into some problems. I couldn't put the lateral shifter on the lowest setting since the holes didnt match up. The higher setting worked fine though. Anyone run into this?
Also, the fore-aft adapter didnt even fit at all. It was drilled unevenly and the pin doesn't go through all the way. I verified this by flipping it around and it didnt go in at all. I emailed them and this is the reply I got.
"We have been informed of this by a few people. Inconsistencies in manufacturing from the company we outsource work to. It can be
fixed by running a drillbit through the hole or it can be sent back to be corrected. I appologize for the inconvenience.

sucks... i wanted to do it all in one day. looks like i will have to ship it back for them to send me a new one.

hey do you guys think that this shifter or the revo take alot of time off your 1/4 mile times because if so i will buy it buy the stock shifter feels fine to me especially compared to my 95 civic
I have the Neuspeed adapter right now. Would this be worth buying to replace it? (btw, I got the Neuspeed as a present; i definitely would've bought a revo if it were up to me)
