They are most likely talking about the Earlier D-series motors where it had a side mounted throttle body, whereas we have the vertical mounted throttle body..
So, in which case it wouldn't fit.. or at least.. it's not bolt up.. anything will fit with a little modification..
a little jb weld and a grinder, anything will go together!

most of these websites say that the parts will fit all D series motors. It will not fit a D17............but like mike said above............it can with some modification.

i dont know, i think u might not but cant be sure till u try like u said. but i think it might actually be worse since different designs work best for different engines. but maybe the d17 is close enough to the d16 to work. but since the bolts are different i have a feeling it wont work very well. but hey, once again never know till u try.

It SHOULD be pretty close.. alot of people have custom fit d16 manifolds onto our cars.. so it isn't impossible... and it must not warrent bad gains.. because they are doing it, and more and more people are looking into doing the conversion, so..

really? i havent heard of that. ill have to look into it sounds interesting. might be a bitch to do though since the bolts are on the head and all lol. i dont know, i have this feeling that the main problem with our engines is the camshaft. i think if once someone actually releases a good one we'll be getting some nice NA gains.

hmm... a nice camshaft would help.. but there is alot more to an N/A engine than a camshaft..
Look for a camshaft that puts down about 50-100 whp

exactly lol. id love to hear a civic thats got a rough idle and sounds like its about to die, then screams to redline and owns all lol. and yeah i know theres a huge amount more to a NA engine then a camshaft, but its definetly one of the critical components. no matter what ur compression is, no matter how blueprinted ur engine is, no matter what kind of valve springs u got, no matter how much u stroked the engine, if u cant get enough air in there its crap.
