AEM Short Ram Intake Question...

I have had my AEM intake for about 6 months now and it seems like my gas mileage has went down. Has anyone else noticed this? I was considering going back to stock. Do you all think it would be a wise move? Input please...

More air, more fuel.

Go put airbox back on.
Or Try reclean the K&N Filter.

yea i never have understood how people say you can increase your gas and your horsepower because with horses you loose gas mileage.

i just made 800 km on a fuel thank...(500 miles...) it's not always like that (100% highway 65 mph)...but i think a SRI does not affect your milage like your driving habits...at first my milage decreased cause i was in love with the sound of my SRI...so was hard on the pedal...

It could be 2 things. Either your filter needs to be cleaned or the intake is taking the hot air from the engine and sucking that in. Or it could be that you floor the car too much.

...sorry forgot to add, it could be that there's a leak in your intake. Check for that! Because your milage is suppose to improve not get worse.

I dont have an intake on the Civic yet but when I had an intake on my GTI, the gas mileage became HORRIBLE. But sometimes its with the sacrifice, it's up to you.

i don't know what i was averaging with stock intake but with the V2 even though i don't buy into the whole 15 hp thing and gas increase i calculated twice what i was averaging on a gallon and one time it was 27.8 and other is 29.7 and thats from one side of houston to another only going 45 cause of traffic to college and back
