Rep Power: 0 Performance Upgrades to Increase GAS MILAGE?
I am looking to find any upgrade parts for my Civic that will increase the gas milage of the car. I love my civic and do alot of travling in it. Please let me know of anything I can do to the car to increase gas milage but still be legal with emissions. Thanks.

change yer spark plugs........ngk iridum ix or something better..
put some fuel system cleaner on yer tank.......greased lighting is good..
put it FIPKII....some said, it'll increase the mileage by small margin...and make that "vroom2" sound...
**take it easy on the gas pedal** <-- word.

Rep Power: 0 when driving and you see a red light within 8 blocks away.
Don't gas to the light, just let it cruise.
If someone honks the horn then you say you like driving fast to a red light.
**** let him hit you if he tries. Then talk **** call the cops and sue his *** because he hit you in the back.

Rep Power: 788 Heh still didn't get it
On a side note, I swapped the cylinder head, added fuel injector cleaner, and mpg went up by 6. Best thing is new plugs, air filter, fuel cleaner, and that stuff. Keep up the maintenance. I'll have to see if I gain any mpg with the fipk.

Rep Power: 788 Well I used it once. Says it's good for a whole year. It left some small green deposits on the plugs, but it didn't affect power. I took em out and brushed off the dust just in case.

Rep Power: 0 get an aftermarket intake because the less restriction the car has on recieving air the less gas it's going to send a good intake is about 100 online also changing the spark plugs wil make the engine burn the gas better wich means the comuter is gonna send less gas to the injectors. also buy some BRAND NAME injector cleaner and put it in you car after youve chaged the oil with syntetic oil which for fuel efficieny is better i have done all of this things to my car and i make arround 400 city miles per tank and before i used to do like 340 so yes u do see the diference. + using the A/C less is going to help a lot!

Here's some mileage tips used by the insight/prius/civic hybrid folks:
1. Higher tire pressure, if the rating on the tire sidewall is 51 max, try 40-42 front and 3-4 less in the rear, if the max on the tire sidewall is 44, go with 40 front, if the max rating is less than 40 then run the front at the number on the sidewall or a couple of pounds lower. All are measured cold before driving and will increase the ride stiffness a bit but there are no other risks. I'm doing 40/38 for my HX and it rolls like an SOB.
2. Stick with high profile narrow tires, they look crappy but they have lower rolling resistance, that's why all the hybrids and the HX come with narrow 14's.
3. If you've hit lots of potholes/parking curbs, an alignment check might help. A good quality alignment shop can set you to 0 toe front and rear to minimize friction. It'll save your tires to.
4. A cat back exhaust might get you 1, maybe 2 mpg but you'll have to drive far to pay for it.
5. Like others above, a well-tuned motor makes a big difference.
