hidden power in our engines???

hidden power in our engines???
Ok, I took my car into a jensen tire because I had a flat a while ago. So when he gave me my car back he said the civic engines have power I just have to let it out. He said what I have under the hood is junk (AEM CAI, throttle body spacer) that pretty much it. I would think he would be talking about more air flow with the intake and the exhaust system. But he said something about getting big fuel injectors. Would this be good? thats pretty much all I heard him say does anybody else no about what to do to get our "hidden power" out?

The guy is a tool. The only hidden power comes from throwing on a turbo kit. Bigger injectors don't just give you more power. You need engine management, alot more air going in to even need them...well he doesn't know what he's talking about.

I dont know what you guys are talking about. THere is hidden power in our cars.
Do what i do and you'll be beating vipers and vettes daily. Each morning i sit in my car for an hour and meditate. Then i give the intake and exhaust a full grease massage followed by a mud wrap. Then kneel down in front of your car with the hood up and pray to the honda gods to give you good fortune and finally you have to sacrafice a virgin.....bottle of oil and pour it over your own head first then on the head of your engine.

you can try bigger cc injectors, fuel rail, better fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator if you want. But the D17 is ****. Just my opinion. I buy a better car if I could afford to.

You need more air to supplement the fuel.
Therefore you need a turbo.
In a way that retard was part right.........bigger injectors will give you more power...........he just forgot to mention the other $5,000 in mods that go along with it.

Rep Power: 812 That's the best idea I've heard yet. Spend $1000 on the AEM engine management and tune it to get 5whp, maybe more if you have some good mods like intake

Rep Power: 0 does anybody on the site actually have full engine work done?? im talking about cams, shafts, valves, pistons, rods, fuel system, intake manifold, gaskets and so on. the answer is no and thats because most of these parts are not made yet. true the D17 is weak but its all motor potential is not yet known. im pretty sure that in 2-3 years we will have all motor 7thgens producing close to 180 hp at the engine.

Rep Power: 812 That would be nice, but the cost of building that setup is gonna be enormous. I've already thrown in a few grand and got maybe 10-15hp out of it. Best $$ per hp comes from turbo.
