Unoridox racing crank pulley

does anyone have this and did it mess with your car at all? I know that can give some good HP's but if it screws up my car to bad I don't want it. I also want to get a system later and DVD play stuff like that but that is in the far future. I have heard that if you have a system with it that it will drain that battery or something like that. But I also want to get the AEM tru power pulley set and another thing I have heard is that that set might take some pressure of the crank pulley.

It doesn't have a harmonic damper, so yes it will cause problems. I had a whole post about this a while back.

Um the stock harmonic dampener is INSIDE the pulley. Problems include blown oil pump (and turbo if you have one), spun bearings after 15k, underdriven power steering, alternator, and AC, etc. Your choice.

well.. for one thing i found out that aem now makes 5-bolt cam gears

anyways... if u go to aem's website they say and i quote

"Removal of the torsional vibration damper NOT necessary*"
http://www.aempower.com/product_pulley.asp

which is what i was told is true about the unorthodox ones too... has anyone installed either the aem or unorthodox ones and know if this is true...

Wow, wait a minute. I'm talkin about CRANK pulley. Accessory pulleys will only underdrive the alternator and ps, without affecting the engine. AEM specifically DOES NOT produce crank pulleys due to the problems I've mentioned about the dampener. It's best if you read for yourself.
Well I can't find the huge thread I put together. Search button is lousy.

basically.... its bad to change the crank pulley... but i guess what AEM did was do the opposite and made the accessory pulleys smaller.. which makes more sense to avoid using a crank pulley and such..
