Question intake cone filter

something got me curious...not sure if it relates to the sri or/and cai

but, today, i was checking out my intake filter off my aem short ram intake and notice the filter is being out of shaped like it sucked so much air in the filter, it reshaped the filter itself (the edge areas). my question is: how is this caused? heat from engine bay?

if no one knows wtf im talking about, ill post a picture of my filter later today.

Um, it's caused by having a bad filter. The only one that actually works is the apexi cone. K&N makes that filter you have, so it's pretty much crap.

That's it. You may be able to find one on ebay. However, it's gonna be hard to make it fit right. It's designed for their own intake with a different mount in the back. Here's a review anyway.
