The only kind of fuel system cleaner that has worked for me is Sea Foam http://www.seafoamsales.com/ I haven't needed any cleaner in the civic yet, but I have used it in my other cars. It did wonders on my 240.

Seafoam and GM's product seam to be the best ones out there but they even have tested those products on small 4-Cyl. engines with plastic intake manifolds?

I know GM's product says that it is recommended for 6-Cyl. engines and up. So where does that leave the 4-Cyl.?

When you vic gets 90 to 100k you need to drop the tank, clean it,change filters, and its done! (That gets ALL the dirt and water)

prokote fuel treatment

i have a 2002 rsx that we race in the hialeah speedway and moroso and we use this stuff called prokote ft fuel treatment. I bought some at the sema show in vegas last year. All I can say is the stuf is amazing and it actually works. Most fuel cleaners have alcohol in them and they raise octane for one tank and thats it. What prokote does is it cleans and lubricates the entire fuel system and really lasts. Used with the prokote metal treatment for high performance engines my engine is smooth as hell!! It actually dropped my temperature abou 35 degrees. Ive used many many other similar products and prokote actually does everything it says on the bottle

the fuel treatment also lasts 3000 miles and does not evaporate sicne there is no alcohol in the product which is a big plus
