Axle Back/Cat Back

What's the difference between the two exhaust systems? I'm considering upgrading my exhaust system and trying to decide what I would want to get.

sKwiD is on a distinguished road
^^what he said, lol. Alright, lets go easy on the noob.

Cat Back: More piping than Axle Back. Goes from you Catalytic Converter all the way back to your tail pipe. More airflow with fatter piping, nicer sound (sometimes).

Axle Back: It's what I have. Its just a bolt on muffler. Not gonna feel too much power with it because it bolts on to your existing piping. Depending on what kind you get, it'll have sound. I have the HKS Hiper so it sounds perfect, not too loud nor too soft. I didn't get any HP I don't think, but accelerating was a lot better, feels like the car can breath easier.

I bought DNX (Dynomax), They have both parts and sell them seperately so you can buy them at different intervals.Summit Racing carries them.

Yes, catbacks cost more. But you can get a mid pipe then bolt on an axle back. Might be cheaper
